D13 West 5, Greenville SE 1
 
Another fantastic game!!!!   We beat the team that mercy’d us on Thursday.  SE
scored first when Tyler Abbott our pitcher was stuck in the kneecap with a line
drive.  Everyone thought the worst but somehow he got back up and limped thru 105
pitches holding the SE batters in check.  They were basically beaten by a one-legged
pitcher who showed unbelievable heart and guts when most guys would have given up. 
After the game he could hardly walk but apparently nothing was broken or severely
damaged.  Kody Kaspar, who was the starting and losing pitcher in the championship
game last year came in and got the last four outs as the SE # 3-hitter, Marlins high
Draft choice and 2-HR guy from our fist game, took a call third strike to end the
game.  
 
Hitting stars for D13 were Hayden Cronenbold, Peter McAffee and Timmy Ginther.  Good
defense as usual from Ginther, Mark Manos, Josh Davis, Hayden and James Brady helped
the cause.  
 
We took a tour of the Clemson Sports facilities today and the Tigers are big time in
every way.  Death Valley , the football stadium is quite a site with traditions as
steep as the 70,000 seat stadium.
 
Tomorrow it’s the World Championship Game against Puerto Rico on ESPN at 5PM
Pacific.  Tune in to see our great kids and my ugly face.  This will be my 4TH LL
Championship Game and I looking to even the record at 2 AND 2.
